Taking immanent peaks in soundscaping the things that surround our very beings. Quioui escorts you to a trip into the dark nocturne of postmodern life. Quioui considers the music he produces as a reflection of dreams. In that way the target is to unveil those nighty mysteries and put them into sound, scape.
Subtle manipulations, recurring themes, in this music it isn't bout producing structured songs. Experiment and improvisation take a leading role here.
Quioui is nightdreaming for reminiscent days on trains, cars, planes, bikes, for park, for pleasure.
Quioui can be seen as a project in the making. At this time, quioui is busy with collecting sounds and themes for first live performances.
Eventually, in a second phase, the goal is to make a synthetic collusion of acoustic and electronic elements, performing with musicians on stage. In the final phase, visual and musical elements will be integrated.
Quioui has made music for Werner Haegeman's 'Zachtjes met de deuren', which will be aired in the Arenbergschouwburg in Antwerp. In summer, a cd release will be prepared.
