filmjolk - sound remembrance

Description

hello.
well i listened to your wise advices and tried to make something a bit different. there's a lot of piano... richard clayderman is in me :p thanks to elkhor who lent me his midi cable! and thanks to simon keep, i got the talking part from a soundscape he made.
and i must say i don't know what to think about the whole result -_-'

EDIT : i just give the CREDIT to the wonderful soundscape i used in this song, it's made by the english artist Simon Keep, also known as Holkham. huge thanks Simon :)

"mononucleosis ep" to be released on the 31st march on heldernacht records

This is very nice :) I like it alot
It's very chilled and rather melancholic, makes me think and remember the good old days :)

Very beautiful

I think it was a very good idea to try something else :)

DrGonzo [be] - 17 years ago

yeah this is very good...i want to hear more stuff like that from you :)

Anonymous [be] - 17 years ago

Very nice ambience! With the people talking it gives a particular atmosphere to the music. I like it better than your previous tracks actually.

icteder [be] - 17 years ago

this is great schtuff man.lot of feeling and f*ckin nice piano sound man so warm it's definitly my favourith piano sound

heatfuse [be] - 17 years ago

very catchy tune, keeps me wanting for more. productionwise I think it could be slightly improved. the bass is a bit too hard for my hifi and the stereo-image sounds a bit too wide. the song itself: I think it's top. there seems to be a real story behind it and it had a real positive effect on my mood ;). well done man!

Thought [be] - 17 years ago

Very nice work! I like the glitchy sounds, they fit in superb! And a very nice climax too, wish i could make something like that!

filmjolk [be] - 17 years ago

woohoo! it didn't sound like richard clayderman then? great :D

but please don't call me man -_- i'm a ...girl.

redlightproject [be] - 17 years ago

Hey here is another comment now that I'm connected... I like the atmosphere of this track with the voices combined to the quiet music, like late in the night with this soft mesmerizing voice talking (even though I didn't bother trying to understand what it said). It reminded me more of Craig Armstrong than Richard Clayderman! ;)

Elkhor [be] - 17 years ago

excellent track, nothing to say a part maybe the piano would be a bit upfront

suredj [fr] - 17 years ago

Verry good ambiance !
we can make a trip whith this :)

dropthedyle [be] - 17 years ago

dreamy and deliciously melancholic track. keep that vibe.
in a technical pov, i second Elkhor, imo the piano, wich is very nice, must be upfront and brighter.

but hey, if you want to make a real Clayderman song, i would appreciate ;o)

david [be] - 17 years ago

Really love the overall cinematographic atmosphere to the tune. Very narrative stuff.
To me, everything sounds pretty much in its own place.
Don't Claydermanize or Armstrongize this gem. Keep it as it is. +fav

Bedlam [be] - 17 years ago

No i think the piano that is behind gives a very good ambience

reaman [be] - 17 years ago

Good song filmjolk, I can see you tried something different. I like the voice, it gives a sensual touch to the song, I guess it would make amorph happy ;)

Indeed lots of piano, very nice. It's a fine, sensitive song composed with lots of emotions.

Really something different from your other songs, and maybe this is even your best song up til now.

I really have to agree with Akwalek's comment, he hit the spot. Good job filmjolk!

hi there.. another great song.. i heard this one some time before, just stumbled on it again..

also fav!

and.. dunno.. is it inspired by the music of hans appelqvist from the mjall label?

Krael [be] - 17 years ago

Really, really like this song, but the piano should indeed be a bit brighter. Superb melody, especially the beginning is heavenly. Heh, think I'll definitely listen to your other stuff. Greetz, K

It seems that I overlooked your songs somehow...may the Lord (who's that?) forgive me for that.

Great melancholic piece. Maybe the bass is a tiny bit too loud...hell, who am I to criticize this. Wonderful.
